the good ol’ days. . .

I can still fondly remember the day my shoe wardrobe arrived. It’s actually a bookshelf with glass doors, but because my shoes were crowding the store room downstairs, the folks suddenly decidedto get me a shoe wardrobe as a gift. I was gobsmacked, because we normally pay for all our own stuff, but was happy all the same.

Prior to that, I’d been buying shoes non-stop. Because my feet were abnormally large for a kid, I learnt how to walk in heels when young. My first pair were silver pumps when I was 10. These days, my feet are abnormally small for a person my height. Which is a good thing. I get to buy tons, because they are always conveniently available.

So I’d smuggle shoes home, hiding them in the power meter box, running home, stuffing them in large bags. . Christ. The stuff I’d do. And then I’d line them up and take tons of photos of them. I still have most of them, and I definitely still wear them.

These days, I hardly take new shoe-specific photos any longer, unless I happen to be playing with PhotoBooth in my MacBook, which also happens to be a very bad addiction. And a very good one at that.

And then we can always have M&S white chocolate dancing shoes.

Hey!

I just kind of stumbled upon your site and can’t just leave without a comment
The idea of turning book wardrobe (shelves) into place for shoes is totally inventive :)!!!! Love it!!!m ANd also love your style and the presentation! :))
Greetings from Croatia!!!
why, thank you
I love shoes too! You have great shoe taste.=P hihi. translation: your picks are unique and not just fads, but at the same time well, just plain beautiful!
Thanks!
I saw your Manolos and think they’re lovely.
I used to get most of my shoes (VNC) from here: http://www.padini.com/brands/vincci/catalogue.aspx?seasonid=HOLIDAY2007VINCCI
They used to be really cheap, and I knew their designer. I think he left because the designs became quite ugly, but upon looking at their catalogue, I might want to go back again.
Apart from that, I also love Charles & Keith. http://www.charleskeith.com/
It’s a local brand and with branches all over the island.
For now, my highest-end shoes I can afford are Nine West and Aldo.
