tight tweeds and secret needs

eagles, eyes, and cherries

I’d always wanted a bird necklace, given my fascination with birds. My own main gripe is how much I’d have to incur for freight alone– kinda like my feelings with respect to airport taxes– and so it has impeded me substantially. And so I burst out laughing when I realized I had a bird necklace all along, for more than a year. I had bought a red bag, and wanted a charm for it. But I didn’t really like the bag charms that were being doled out by the dozen. I was in Aussie then, and had walked into Sportsgirl for the thousandth time. There, I saw an eagle chain which set off the bag perfectly. The best thing? It was on sale– there were about twenty of them left– and I got it for a steal at AUD$2 only.

On some days I love to wear my basics. And so I threw on my trusty old racerback and wore a tiered skirt high-waisted for school. The posture of the photo ain’t exactly very nice, but it will do, I reckon.

I went out with the same hairstyle on Tuesday, albeit with it straightened. I look harder and tougher when it’s straightened, but apparently, I have a friendlier look when it’s au naturel.

It’s hard to believe I haven’t had a chunky fringe for more than a year!
